This study demonstrates a new concept for high‐performance in‐material physical reservoirs (PRs). An intrinsic and cooperative ion–electron state, induced by chemical dedoping in self‐doped poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (S‐PEDOT) nanofilms, enhances the performance of in‐material PRs.

Evaluation of the synoptic and mesoscale predictive capabilities of a mesoscale atmospheric simulation system [PDF]
The overall performance characteristics of a limited area, hydrostatic, fine (52 km) mesh, primitive equation, numerical weather prediction model are determined in anticipation of satellite data assimilations with the model.

The formation of insulating Li2S during discharge in solid‐state lithium–sulfur batteries passivate reaction sites and limits sulfur utilization. In this work, a microstructure‐resolved modeling framework coupling transport and reaction kinetics is developed to predict charge–discharge behavior and reveal particle‐scale species evolution and incomplete

Diagnostics of severe convection and subsynoptic scale ageostrophic circulations [PDF]
Diagnostics of severe convection and subsynoptic scale ageostrophic circulations are reported. Mesoscale circulations through forcing of ageostrophic motion by adiabatic, diabatic and frictional processes were studied.

Inspired by the extracellular matrix, eutectogels are prepared by in situ deconstruction of silk fibroin into micro/nanofibrils and EGaIn‐induced polymerization. The multiscale fibril network with dynamic crosslinking achieves high strength (1.25 MPa), toughness (23.09 MJ m−3), and conductivity (1.51 S m−1), outperforming previous natural polymer ...

Observation and numerical simulation of a convective initiation during COHMEX [PDF]
Under a synoptically undisturbed condition, a dual-peak convective lifecycle was observed with the COoperative Huntsville Meteorological EXperiment (COHMEX) observational network over a 24-hour period.

We developed a custom‐synthesized ligand, 2‐thiophenepropenammonium iodide, to exchange the native ligands capped on inorganic perovskite nanocrystals (NCs), and identified that the significantly decreased strength of electron‐phonon interaction benefited the charge‐carrier dynamics in their assembled films.

Chromosome segregation in Streptococcus pneumoniae depends on RocS, a bitopic protein whose membrane‐anchoring mechanisms were unclear. Using NMR and AFM, this study reveals that the widely conserved RocS anchor binds to membranes via a conserved kink‐helix motif which inserts into lipid nanodomains.
