Integrating polygenic and methylation risk scores for pleural mesothelioma risk stratification
What's new? Asbestos exposure is a major risk factor for pleural mesothelioma (PM). Most asbestos‐exposed individuals do not develop PM, suggesting that it arises from a complex interplay between environmental and genetic factors. This study examined the utility of polygenic risk scores (PRS) and methylation risk scores (MRS) in incorporating genetic ...

Mordenite is a naturally occurring zeolite mineral that is the seventh most common zeolite mineral globally, forming at low temperatures (≥100°C) in hydrothermal systems. In New Zealand, extensive deposits of mordenite are commonly associated with areas of hydrothermal alteration, particularly in the Coromandel and Taupo Volcanic Zones.

Abstract Background Animal cancer registry data are important for monitoring animal health, for prevention and research in veterinary medicine, and for comparative oncology. Since people and animals share the same environment and are exposed to many common risk factors, cancer patterns in animals may have a sentinel function for human health.

ABSTRACT Drug‐induced kidney injury should be monitored throughout the drug development process to ensure patient safety. Standard kidney injury biomarkers may not always correlate with subtle microscopic histopathological kidney injury. Standard biomarkers are insufficiently sensitive for detection of early‐phase kidney injury.

ABSTRACT Despite advances in novel therapeutic modalities, such as molecularly targeted agents and immunotherapies, the probability of success in Phase III oncology trials remains low. This study quantitatively characterized success probabilities of Phase III trials in oncology drug development and evaluated the factors associated with trial success ...
