ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing

Scalable data assimilation with message passing
Data assimilation is a core component of numerical weather prediction systems. The large quantity of data processed during assimilation requires the computation to be distributed across increasingly many compute nodes; yet, existing approaches suffer ...

Bilinear Adaptive Generalized Vector Approximate Message Passing
This paper considers the generalized bilinear recovery problem, which aims to jointly recover the vector b and the matrix X from componentwise nonlinear measurements ${\text {Y}}\sim p({\text {Y}}|{\text {Z}})=\prod \limits _{i,j}p(Y_{ij}|Z_{ij ...

ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Diffusion LMS Based on Message Passing Algorithm
Diffusion least-mean-square (LMS) is an adaptive algorithm that estimates an unknown global vector from its linear measurements obtained at all nodes in a distributed manner when each node in the network needs to track the unknown vector in real-time ...

Rely-Guarantee Based Reasoning for Message-Passing Programs [PDF]
The difficulties of verifying concurrent programs lie in their inherent non-determinism and interferences. Rely-Guarantee reasoning is one useful approach to solve this problem for its capability in formally specifying inter- thread interferences ...

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Convolutional Approximate Message-Passing [PDF]
This letter proposes a novel message-passing algorithm for signal recovery in compressed sensing. The proposed algorithm solves the disadvantages of approximate message-passing (AMP) and orthogonal/vector AMP, and realizes their advantages. AMP converges only in a limited class of sensing matrices while it has low complexity.

ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Generalized Approximate Message Passing Detector for GSM-OTFS Systems
Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS) as a two-dimensional modulation scheme designed in the delay-Doppler domain, is realized by inverse symplectic finite Fourier transform (ISFFT) and symplectic finite Fourier transform (SFFT), for combating the high ...
