Volar metacarpophalangeal joint dislocation [PDF]

open access: yesEmergency Medicine Journal, 2000
Volar dislocation of the metacarpophalangeal joint is a very rare clinical finding. A volar dislocation of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the left index finger in a 44 year old man is reported. Closed reduction proved unsuccessful requiring subsequent open reduction and internal fixation via a combined dorsal and volar approach.

Sharing of hand kinematic synergies across subjects in daily living activities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The motor system is hypothesised to use kinematic synergies to simplify hand control. Recent studies suggest that there is a large set of synergies, sparse in degrees of freedom, shared across subjects, so that each subject performs each action with a ...

The EULAR–OMERACT rheumatoid arthritis MRI reference image atlas: the metacarpophalangeal joints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint magnetic resonance images of the EULAR–OMERACT rheumatoid arthritis MRI reference image atlas. The illustrations include synovitis in the MCP joints (OMERACT RA magnetic resonance imaging scoring ...

Improvement of the Rotation Arch of the Posterior Interosseous Pedicle Flap Preserving Both Reverse Posterior and Anterior Interosseous Vascular Sources. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
PURPOSE: The reverse posterior interosseous artery flap has several advantages, not sacrificing any major blood vessel, but its relatively short pedicle limits the use to cover defects up to the metacarpophalangeal joint.

Volar Dislocation of the Metacarpophalangeal Joint of the Ring Finger Complicated with Chondrolysis: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedics, Trauma and Rehabilitation, 2017
Volar dislocation of the metacarpophalangeal joint is rare injury. In the literature consulted only seven cases of isolated volar dislocation of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the ring finger have been published.

The development of the EULAR–OMERACT rheumatoid arthritis MRI reference image atlas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Based on a previously developed rheumatoid arthritis MRI scoring system (OMERACT 2002 RAMRIS), the development team agreed which joints, MRI features, MRI sequences, and image planes would best illustrate the scoring system in an atlas.

An Unusual Case of Volar Dislocation of Thumb Metacarpophalangeal Joint

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedics, Trauma and Rehabilitation, 2015
Thumb metacarpophalangeal joint dislocation is an uncommon injury. Most of the dislocations are dorsal, and volar dislocation is rare. Only a total of 18 cases of volar dislocation of thumb metacarpophalangeal joint are published in English and other ...

Digital modeling of critical conditions after metacarpophalangeal joint replacement

open access: yesГений oртопедии, 2023
Introduction The current status of small joint arthroplasty, the metacarpophalangeal joint replacement, in particular, dictates the need for development and research of new implant designs and materials for their manufacture.
