High‐fidelity Nanopore sequencing offers a cost‐effective, portable path to uncovering viral dark matter in complex environments—but suffers from severe read‐length bias, low throughput, and limited accuracy. This study traces these limitations to core biochemical barriers and introduces CLAE, a foundational high‐fidelity platform that enables accurate,

The 2500‐year‐old Mulberry‐dyke and Fish‐pond agricultural heritage system reveals how interconnected habitats foster microbial diversity. Multi‐habitat landscapes enhance microbial diversity through cross‐habitat dispersal and adaptive trait convergence. Globally, regions with diverse habitats support a greater diversity of soil microbiomes.

Biodiversity, taxonomy and metagenomics [PDF]
GenBank (Benson et al. 2013) is a database that contains genetic sequences of species. Godfray (2007) proposed that metagenomics can replace taxonomy in identifying specimens. Indeed, giving names to specimens is not the primary role of taxonomy, the discipline being devoted to the description of new species and to reconstruction of phylogenies ...

EBI metagenomics—a new resource for the analysis and archiving of metagenomic data [PDF]
Metagenomics is a relatively recently established but rapidly expanding field that uses high-throughput next-generation sequencing technologies to characterize the microbial communities inhabiting different ecosystems (including oceans, lakes, soil, tundra, plants and body sites).

7‐KDCA functions by driving intestinal epithelial cell migration through induction of calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum. The findings emphasize a previously unrecognized property of 7‐KDCA in regulating cell migration, a required process for effective epithelial restitution and repair that is particularly critical for patients with UC to ...

This work clarifies how feedstocks and their structural features promote methanogenesis, and identifies the key regulatory factors, reducing pollution to the global environment, and also helps to alleviate the energy crisis. This is the first study to systematically link feedstock lignin content, pyrolysis conditions, biochar graphitization, and DIET ...
