Magnetic structure and dynamics of a strongly one-dimensional cobalt$^{II}$ metal-organic framework
We investigate the magnetism of the Co$^{II}_4$(OH)$_2$(C$_1$$_0$H$_1$$_6$O$_4$)$_3$ metal-organic framework which displays complex inorganic chains separated from each other by distances of 1 to 2 nm, and which orders at ~5.4 K.

Thermal energy storage using metal–organic framework materials [PDF]
Metal–organic framework (MOF) materials are new adsorbent materials that have high surface area and pore volume and hence high adsorption uptake. The previous exceptional properties make this class of materials have a great potential in many applications

Herein, environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) is discussed as a powerful extension of conventional SEM for life sciences. By combining high‐resolution imaging with variable pressure and humidity, ESEM allows the analysis of untreated biological materials, supports in situ monitoring of hydration‐driven changes, and advances the functional ...

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...
