Lithium Bromide-Induced Structural Changes in a Nickel Bis-Alkoxide Complex
The bis-alkoxide [(DEAMP)2Ni] (1, DEAMP = 1-(diethylamino)-2-methylpropan-2-olate) was found to react with trace amounts of lithium bromide to afford the bis-LiBr adduct 2, in which the oxygens of the DEAMP ligand coordinate to lithium to form a chiral ...

Trigonal Phosphine Umpolung: Electrophilicity Driven by a Redox‐Active Boron Cluster
Coupling of a phosphine to a redox‐active cluster enables polarity reversal, or umpolung, at phosphorus. Phosphines are classically known for their nucleophilicity, and while electrophilic reactivity has been observed in geometrically constrained, non‐trigonal systems, similar behavior in ordinary trigonal phosphines is rare.

Alkoxide-based precursors for direct drawing of metal oxide micro- and nanofibres
The invention of electrospinning has solved the problem of producing micro- and nanoscaled metal oxide fibres in bulk quantities. However, until now no methods have been available for preparing a single nanofibre of a metal oxide.

Abstract Synthetic jet fuel containing non‐petroleum‐derived kerosene can be produced from synthetic kerosene obtained through processes that include a hydroprocessing step. The potential use of non‐sulphided (reduced) nickel supported on alumina (Ni/Al2O3) was evaluated as an alternative to sulphided catalysts to saturate alkenes in sulphur‐free ...

Revisiting the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate from methanol and carbon dioxide
Abstract The process for producing dimethyl carbonate (DMC) from carbon dioxide (CO2) and methanol is explored in this article. It provides an overview of the thermodynamics involved in DMC synthesis, discussing the challenges and potential solutions. The article highlights the reported use of catalysts and dehydrating agents to improve DMC yield and ...

This study investigates the effect of the reaction temperature (step 1) and reaction time (step 1 and 2) on the conversion efficiency and impurity profile of amphetamine synthesized via the Leuckart method. Conversion efficiency and impurity profile were assessed using gas chromatography–flame ionization detection (GC–FID) and GC–mass spectrometry (GC ...
