Bonding Energetics in Alkaline Metal Alkoxides and Phenoxides

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2003
AbstractThe bonding energetics in a variety of alkaline metal, alkoxides and phenoxides, MOR, was investigated based on the corresponding enthalpies of formation in the crystalline state determined by reaction‐solution calorimetry. The results obtained at 298.15 K were as follows: ΔfH$\rm{_{m}^{\,o}}$ (MOR, cr)/kJ mol−1 = 382.7±1.4 (LiOC6H5), 513.6±2.5

Preparation of SiO2/ZrO2 ceramic nanocomposite coating on Aluminum alloys as metallic part of the photovoltaic cells and study its corrosion behavior. [PDF]

open access: yesEnvironmental Energy and Economic Research, 2017
Nowadays due to water shortage, the use of air humidity as the sustainable solution has been considered by cities located in coastal zones; especially in warm and humid climate. However, the use of air humidity also has its own problems such as corrosion

Graphite Co‐Intercalation Chemistry in Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
Traditional intercalation chemistry in lithium‐ion batteries cannot allow sodium storage in graphite. The co‐intercalation chemistry changes the situation. It enables reversible and ultrafast sodium storage in graphite. Revisiting challenges and summarizing recent advances are of significant importance to exploit the full potential of graphite in ...

The Unanticipated Catalytic Activity of Lithium tert-Butoxide/THF in the Interesterification of Rapeseed Oil with Methyl Acetate

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2019
Conventionally, the biodiesel (mixture of fatty acid methyl esters, FAME) production proceeds by transesterification of triglycerides with methanol accordingly by the formation of glycerol as a by-product, which cannot be included in biofuel composition.

Powder preparation and compaction behaviour of fine-grained Y-TZP [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Two wet chemical preparation methods are described for yttria-doped tetragonal zirconia powders. Both methods yield powders with an extremely small crystallite size (8 nm) and a narrow size distribution.

Uncovering the Electrochemical‐Thermal Coupling Behavior of Li Plating at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The electrochemical‐thermal coupling behavior of Li plating at an elevated temperature of 60°C is studied. A distinctive exothermic peak appears corresponding to the Li plating plateau, while another characteristic exothermic peak during the relaxation stage is observed for the first‐time, attributed to the simultaneous Li stripping and re ...

Shedding Light on Synthetic Autocatalysis: From Conventional Closed‐Shell Chemistries to Overlooked Open‐Shell Occurrences

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Why add another catalyst when the product itself holds the power to catalyze its own formation? Autocatalysis in synthetic chemistry enhances reaction efficiency and uncovers novel catalytic behavior across both closed‐shell and open‐shell systems, expanding reactivity and enabling innovative design strategies.

Thermal behavior and structural study of SiO2/Poly(ε-caprolactone) hybrids synthesized via sol-gel method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
SiO2-based organic-inorganic hybrids (OIHs) are versatile materials whose properties may change significantly because of their thermal treatment. In fact, after their preparation at low temperature by the sol-gel method, they still have reactive silanol ...
