Citizen Science for Individual Identification of Pine Martens Martes martes From Camera Trap Footage
Camera traps generate large volumes of wildlife footage, but identifying animals to the individual level remains challenging and time‐consuming. Using European pine martens in the Forest of Dean as a case study, we assessed whether citizen scientists could identify individuals from camera trap photos and videos.

Demand‐Driven Location of Repair Activities and the Local Distribution of the Circular Economy
ABSTRACT This paper explores the territorial embeddedness of repair at the local and regional level, which is part of the relatively understudied regional circular economy. This study involves the analysis of the dispersion of repair employment compared to other economic sectors as well as the degree of connection of repair activities to other economic

How ventures maintain stakeholder support amidst operational legitimacy threats
Abstract Research Summary We explore how ventures mitigate operational legitimacy threats—threats that originate within the venture and challenge claims relating to the venture's ability to deliver on its promised value proposition. Through an inductive study of four ventures working to deliver their promised products following successful crowdfunding ...

Designing for unanticipated uses: How product attributes shape community‐led exaptation
Abstract Research Summary Users often discover new uses for products that firms may later commercialize, which we call community‐led exaptation. We examine how product attributes shape users' discovery of new functions versus new functionalities. Using 1925 IKEA product hacks, we find that modularity increases the likelihood of new functions.

Non‐Invasive Smart Pressure Sensor for Early‐Stage Thermal Runaway Warning for Cylindrical Batteries
A smart pressure sensor based on shape memory sensing composite is introduced, which enables conformal contact with cylindrical batteries and can continuously monitor the lateral pressure caused by volume expansion during charging‐discharging. This smart sensor features impressive stability, recoverability and a broad pressure detection range.

A novel seismic connector for precast concrete shear walls
Abstract A critical aspect of the seismic performance of precast concrete walls is the deformation capacity of their connections, which can be limited by premature bar fracture, reinforcement buckling, or cyclic instability. This paper introduces and experimentally validates a new ultra‐ductile connector (UltraDC) that provides reliable force transfer ...

ABSTRACT Epidemiological studies have demonstrated a link between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and environmental mercury (Hg) exposure. Colombia has a well‐documented history of artisanal and small‐scale gold mining, where Hg exposure affects miners and nearby riverside and urban populations. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of polymorphisms in
