Inhibition of Ferrous Metal Corrosion by Carboxylates

CORROSION 2004, 2004
Abstract A review on inhibitor performance in neutral aqueous solutions of sodium salts of mono and dicarboxylic acids as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel, under static conditions and room temperature, is presented. Electrochemical techniques are nowadays used to study the deaeration effect on passivity for several inhibitors.

Adsorption of methane on porous metal carboxylates

Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, 2009
Abstract Porous metal carboxylates such as MIL-101 (Cr-terephthalate), MIL-100-Cr (Cr-trimesate) and MIL-100-Fe (Fe-trimesate) with very high porosity have been tested as potential adsorbents for methane storage materials. The MIL-101 shows one of the highest adsorption capacities for methane.

Thermal behavior of metal carboxylates: III-metal acetates

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1982
Abstract Infrared emission techniques applied to some acetates heated in air or in vacuum enabled a series of transformations and the final decomposition to be clarified. Interesting intermediates such as β anhydrous phases and basic acetates were identified. The possible reaction paths leading to the final products are discussed and compared.

Ni8 Carboxylate Metal–Organic Frameworks

Inorganic Chemistry
Octanuclear nickel cube (Ni8) is considered as a highly attractive inorganic building block in the field of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) due to its high symmetry (Oh), 12 connection sites, and excellent chemical stability of the constructed MOFs. In this study, we report the synthesis of Ni8-based MOFs constructed exclusively from carboxylic acid ...
