Bound Water as a Reinforcing Element for Ultra‐Strong Polyacrylamide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rather than acting as a conventional plasticizer, bound water serves as a reinforcing element in polyacrylamide by constructing strong PAM–water–PAM hydrogen‐bond networks. This water‐mediated architecture delivers ultra‐high mechanical strength and exceptional flame resistance, redefining the role of water in polymer reinforcement.

Platinum clusters with precise numbers of atoms for preparative-scale catalysis

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
The catalytic activity of a noble metal nanocluster is tied to its atomicity. Here, the authors report an atom-precise, fully scalable synthesis of platinum clusters from molecular ring precursors, and show that a variation of only one atom can ...

Isomeric Ag14 Nanoclusters With Distinct Photophysical and Nanomechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ligand‐shell isomerism in atomically precise Ag14 nanoclusters is demonstrated to regulate core distortion, photoluminescence, and mechanical properties. Subtle changes in phosphine ligand arrangement drive a pronounced emission shift from green to red and alter crystal rigidity, revealing a direct structure‐property correlation that offers new design ...

Role of regeneration of nanoclusters in dictating the power conversion efficiency of metal-nanocluster-sensitized solar cells

open access: yes
Metal nanoclusters (NCs) have emerged as feasible alternatives to dyes and quantum dots in light energy conversion applications. Despite the remarkable enhancement in power conversion efficiency (PCE) in recent years and the increase in the number of NCs

Integration of Reconfigurable p‐Bit and 1R Crossbar Array for Memristive Probabilistic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A memristive probabilistic computing system is demonstrated by integrating stochastic p‐bits based on volatile memristors with a 1R crossbar array encoding interaction weights. The system performs weighted‐sum operations across the array and updates p‐bits iteratively.
