Multifunctional Manganese Oxide Nanocomposite Hydrogel With Synergistic Reactive Oxygen Species‐Scavenging, Oxygen‐Generating, Immunomodulatory, and Photothermal Antimicrobial Activities for Enhanced Diabetic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CFP/PC@MnO2 hydrogel integrates ROS scavenging, oxygen delivery, oxidative stress reduction, immunomodulation, and photothermal antibacterial properties. The incorporation of PC@MnO2 NPs endows the hydrogel with multiple functional advantages tailored to the pathological microenvironment of diabetic wounds, including efficient ROS clearance, mitigation

Asymmetric Single‐Atom Catalysts Govern Diffusible and Non‐Diffusible Non‐Radical Pathways for Selective Degradation of Antibiotic Resistance Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Asymmetric single‐atom metal‐nitrogen‐carbon catalysts modulate the non‐radical pathway during peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation. A fundamental contrast was revealed between diffusible singlet oxygen (1O2) and non‐diffusible electron‐transfer pathways (ETP) in antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) degradation.

Development of a novel filtered cathodic vacuum arc deposition system for carbon metal nanocluster thin films

open access: yes, 2014
Carbon metal nanocluster (C:Me) films have been used to protect the metal nanoclusters from oxidation and enhance its properties, in the same time the incorporation of metal nanoclusters within the carbon thin film is also able to reduce the high ...

Partial Phase‐Separation in the Initial Growth Stage of Exsolution‐Active SrTi0.95‐xNi0.05NbxO3‐δ Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation emerges during the initial growth of heavily Ni‐ and Ni,Nb‐co‐doped STO thin films, leading to preferential accumulation of Ni and embedded NiOx nanoinclusions in thicker films. Nb co‐doping partially suppresses the ordering of these embedded structures, comprising about 20% of all Ni ions.

Metal Active‐Site Exposure via Ligand Engineering Boosts CO2‐to‐Ethylene Conversion on Cu18 Nanoclusters

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through quantitative ligand stripping of [Cu18H17(PR3)10]+ nanoclusters via intramolecular interaction modulation, selectivity for CO2 electroreduction to C2H4 is significantly enhanced. The weakly coordinating ligand triggers dual‐ligand stripping (FEC2H4 = 70.59%), whereas the strongly coordinating ligand results in single‐ligand retention (FEC2H4 ...

Sensors Based on Metal Nanoclusters Stabilized on Designed Proteins

open access: yesBiosensors, 2018
Among all new nanomaterials, metal nanoclusters (NCs) have attracted special attention due to their interesting optical properties, among others. Metal NCs have been recently studied and used as sensors for different analytes. However, there is a need to

Global minimum search for transition metal nanoclusters with an embedded atom method potential in a DRL framework [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
The global minimum search on nanocluster potential energy surfaces remains a formidable challenge due to exponential scaling of local minima with cluster size and composition.
