Thermally activated delayed fluorescence Au‐Ag‐oxo nanoclusters: From photoluminescence to radioluminescence

open access: yesAggregate
Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials have numerous applications in energy conversion and luminescent imaging. However, they are typically achieved as metal‐organic complexes or pure organic molecules. Herein, we report the largest Au‐

Regulating the Electronic Structure of Metal Nanoclusters by Longitudinal Single-Dithiolate Substitution

open access: yes, 2023
It is significant but challenging to understand the property evolution of metal nanoclusters by orientated regulation of the electronic structure. Previous research has demonstrated that the optical properties of metal nanoclusters with anisotropic ...

Metal Active‐Site Exposure via Ligand Engineering Boosts CO2‐to‐Ethylene Conversion on Cu18 Nanoclusters

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through quantitative ligand stripping of [Cu18H17(PR3)10]+ nanoclusters via intramolecular interaction modulation, selectivity for CO2 electroreduction to C2H4 is significantly enhanced. The weakly coordinating ligand triggers dual‐ligand stripping (FEC2H4 = 70.59%), whereas the strongly coordinating ligand results in single‐ligand retention (FEC2H4 ...

Nanocluster‐Assisted OH Ligand Modification Optimizes Activity and Stability of Fe‐N‐C Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nanocluster‐assisted ligand engineering stabilizes OH‐modified FeN4 active sites through strong electronic coupling between isolated Fe atoms and adjacent nanoclusters. This synergy optimizes oxygen‐intermediate adsorption, lowers ORR energy barriers, and breaks the conventional activity–stability trade‐off, enabling high ORR activity, exceptional ...

Deposition Rate‐Controlled Functional Evolution of p‐Type Selenium‐Alloyed Tellurium–Tellurium Oxide Films for Thin‐Film Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the effects of thermal deposition rate on next‐generation p‐type amorphous oxide semiconductor SeTe–TeOx films. Deposition rate governs the chemical states, microstructure, and electrical characteristics of the films, resulting in tunable device properties.

Revealing isoelectronic size conversion dynamics of metal nanoclusters by a noncrystallization approach

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
How metal nanoclusters evolve in size is poorly understood, particularly at the atomic level. Here, the authors use mass spectrometry to study the size conversion dynamics between two isoelectronic gold nanoclusters with atomic resolution, revealing that

Potential‐Controlled Ammonium‐Assisted Reversible Electrodeposition of Polyoxometalates for Hybrid Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Potential‐controlled NH4+‐assisted reversible electrodeposition of molecular metal oxide clusters enables dynamic solution‐to‐solid electron storage. Leveraging this deposition/dissolution reaction chemistry, polyoxometalate‐based hybrid flow batteries are demonstrated as a new platform for deposition‐based electrochemical energy storage.
