Heat Transfer in Liquid Metals
Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1958Abstract The problem of heat transfer in liquid metals is studied for the case of a fully developed turbulent flow in cylindrical pipes of constant diameter, the fluid under consideration being heated (or cooled) by a constant and uniform heat input at the wall. In the analysis, the similarity theory between heat and momentum transfer is

Electron transfer in the electrochemistry of metals, metal compounds and metal complexes
Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1994Abstract Because electron-transfer occurs at the electrode/solution interface, the oxidation of metal electrodes involves electron removal (within the interface) from a solvent molecule or basic constituent (ligand) rather than from the valence-electron shell of the metal .

Metal transfer in the sliding process
Wear, 1988Abstract Metal transfer, during mutual sliding of steel and aluminum alloys, was studied using a model experiment. The model imitated sliding conditions which occur in metalworking operations: high load and short sliding distances. It allowed access to the aluminum-steel contact area without breaking the contact.

Heat Transfer to Molten Metals
Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1947Abstract The contents of the paper are based on an extension of the analogy between heat and momentum transfer. Following the suggestion of von Kármán (9), the turbulent-flow field is divided into a laminar sublayer, a buffer layer, and a turbulent core.

Transfer printing of metal films
The fabrication of ultrathin metal films is decisive in enormous fields such as microelectronic devices, plasmonics, and biosciences. Prevalent lithographic methods were principally designed to form patterns on ultraflat semiconductor surfaces. However, high costs and intricate processes are needed to adapt these lithographic methods to emerging ...openaire +2 more sources
