30-Membered decanuclear manganese metallacrown

Solid State Sciences, 2011
Abstract A new macrocyclic decanuclear manganese(III) 30-metallacrowns-10, [Mn10(ipbmshz)8(dmpmshz)2(DMF)10]. 4DMF (1) has been prepared by supramolecular self-assembly and characterized by X-ray crystal diffraction, where ipbmshz3− is N-(4-isopropylbenzoyl)-3-methylsalicylhydrazide, dmpmshz3− is N-(2,2-dimethylpropanoyl)-3-methylsalicylhydrazide ...

Self-Assembled Organometallic [12]Metallacrown-3 Complexes

Chemistry - A European Journal, 2001
The reaction of [(arene)RuCl2]2 (arene = C6H6, cymene, C6H3Et3, or C6Me6) or [Cp*RhCl2]2 with 3-hydroxy-2-pyridone in the presence of Cs2CO3 gives trinuclear metallamacrocyclic complexes. The self-assembly process was shown to be completely diastereoselective, and a racemic mixture of complexes with M(R)M(R)M(R) or MsMsMs (M=Ru, Rh) configuration was ...

Generalizing the metallacrown analogy: ligand variation and solution stability of the VVO 9-metallacrown-3 structure type

Inorganic Chemistry, 1993
In previous reports, salicylhydroxamic acid (H 3 shi) was used as a stabilizing ligand for metallacrowns, metal complexe with a structural analogy to crown ethers. An important goal for generalizing the metallacrown analogy was to prepare organic ligands with a wide variety of functional groups that retain a high-yield synthesis for a predicted ...

The mass spectrometric study on aminohydroxamic acids‐based metallacrowns

Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2014
Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (MS) has been widely used to detect noncovalent interactions in supramolecular compounds, especially in biological systems. In our work, we present the application of the electrospray ionization MS technique to characterize the metallamacrocycles, known as metallacrowns.

Lithium Isotope Separation by 12‐Metallacrown‐3 Complexes

Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, 2007
AbstractThe 12‐metallacrown‐3 complexes [(C6H5Me)Ru(C5H3NO2)]3 (3), [(C6H3iPr3)Ru(C5H3NO2)]3 (4) and [(C6Me6)Ru(C5H3NO2)]3 (5) were synthesizes by reaction of the corresponding [(arene)RuCl2]2 complex with 2,3‐dihydroxypyridine in the presence of base. Addition of LiCl in methanol gave the adducts 3×LiCl, 4×LiCl and 5×LiCl.

Metallacrown Ethers: Unique Organometallic Ligands

Comments on Inorganic Chemistry, 1995
Abstract Metallacrown ethers are a unique class of complexes that form when R2PX-(CH2CH2O)nCH2CH2XPR2 (X = –, O; R = Ph, alkoxy; n = 3–5) ligands chelate to transition metals. Metallacrown ethers with cis-coordinated phosphines (cis-metallacrown ethers) contain a crown ether-like pocket and exhibit size-selective binding of alkali metal cations similar
