Beyond Metallocenes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The past 15 years have witnessed tremendous advances in the design and use of organometallic complexes as precatalysts for olefin polymerization. Most recently, an intense search has been started in next-generation single-site catalysts. New approaches have been taken to ligand design.

CVD‐Engineered Ni and FeNi Catalysts on Hexagonal Boron Nitride for Efficient CO2‐Methane Co‐Conversion to Syngas: High‐Performance Alternatives to Traditional Alumina‐Supported Catalysts

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This study presents a sustainable approach for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions by converting methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) into syngas using nickel‐based catalysts supported on hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), synthesized through chemical vapor deposition (CVD).

Graphene-mediated exchange coupling between a molecular spin and magnetic substrates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Using first-principles calculations we demonstrate sizable exchange coupling between a magnetic molecule and a magnetic substrate via a graphene layer. As a model system we consider cobaltocene (CoCp2) adsorbed on graphene deposited on Ni(111).

A Redox‐Tunable Carborane Crown: Toward Highly Selective Electrochemical Lithium Capture

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 72, December 23, 2025.
Electrochemical reduction transforms a new carborane–crown into a potent 2e− reduced nido anion with a redox‐tunable cavity that captures Li⁺ selectively over Na⁺ and K⁺. The coupling of electronic control and size‐matched binding offers a blueprint for selective, rapid lithium recovery for next‐generation direct lithium extraction. Abstract Lithium is

Correlation Between Vinyl Content of Recycled HDPE and Polymer Degradation: An NMR Approach

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 142, Issue 47, December 15, 2025.
The degradation behavior of high‐density polyethylene (HDPE) during recycling depends on its vinyl group content. This study shows that 1H NMR spectroscopy enables accurate assessment of vinyl groups unlike FTIR. Changes in melt flow and molecular weight with multiple processing are linked to vinyl content which could enable tailor‐made re‐additivation

Harvesting and Electron-Exchange Energy Transfer by d0 Metallocene-based Organized Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The present contribution will provide an up-to-date overview of novel experimental and theoretical (de-rived quantum-chemically) knowledge on photonics of group IV metallocene-based systems, also with re-spect to their prominent use in catalysis and ...

Half-titanocene 5-t-butyl-2-(1-(arylimino)methyl)quinolin-8-olate chlorides: Synthesis, characterization and ethylene (co-) polymerization behavior [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A series of half-titanocene chloride complexes bearing 5-t-butyl-2-(1-(arylimino)methyl)quinolin-8-olate ligands (L), CpTiLCl₂, has been synthesized in acceptable yields by the stoichiometric reaction of CpTiCl₃ with the respective potassium 5-t-butyl-2-(

A Most Unusual Zeolite Templating: Cage to Cage Connection of One Guest Molecule [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
An unusual case of a diquaternary ammonium dication, with large bulky end groups built from the tropane moiety and connected by a C4 methylene chain, is found to reside in zeolite SSZ-35 (STF).

One-pot synthesis of an ionic half-sandwich complex of Neodymium. Application to stereospecific isoprene polymerization catalysis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
International audienceThe reaction of one equivalent of Nd(BH4)3(THF)3 with an half equivalent of dialkylmagnesium in the presence of a stoechiometric amount of pentamethylcyclopentadiene cleanly affords a new kind of half-sandwich of neodymium that is ...
