Accuracy of Marginal and Internal Adaptation of Advanced Lithium Disilicate Crowns Using Different Margin Designs (In Vitro Study). [PDF]
Background Advanced lithium disilicate glass ceramics offer excellent esthetics, but conservative crown preparations are not always the preferred choice. Various margin designs are available; however, more conservative vertical preparations (vertipreps) have less scientific evidence supporting their esthetic outcomes compared to shoulder or chamfer ...

Clinching of High-Strength Steel Sheets with Local Preheating
Clinching is a manufacturing method of mechanically joining two or more materials without the use of heat or additional components. This process relies on high plastic deformation to create a secure bond.

Microstructures and mechanical properties of pure tantalum processed by high-pressure torsion
A body-centred cubic (BCC) structure metal, tantalum, was processed by high- pressure torsion (HPT) at room temperature with different numbers of rotations. The microstructural evolution was studied by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD).

Additive manufacturing (AM) allows great geometric freedom for lightweight components. As parts are progressively optimized exploiting potentials in AM leading in smaller material cross sections, high pressure solution treating and aging (STA) treatments show an enormous potential for strongly improving material properties.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

Dynamic Scenarios of the Formation of Martensite with the {110} Habits in the Ni50Mn50 Alloy [PDF]
Martensitic transformation B2–L10 in the ordered alloy Ni50Mn50, which occurs at comparatively high temperatures (980–920 K), is discussed with the use of dynamic concepts of the wave control of the threshold deformation.
