Asymmetric Electrolytes Govern Tetrahydroxozincate Dynamics for Stable Alkaline Zinc Batteries. [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl
This research tackles the limitations of alkaline zinc batteries by designing a series of metalloporphyrin molecules (Co‐4N, Co‐3N‐O, Co‐3N‐S) as electrolyte additives. The asymmetric structures, particularly Co‐3N‐O, accelerate the Zn(OH)42− decomposition via a modulated metal center and control Zn2+ transport through carboxyl groups.

Hydride Transfer Limits Hydrogen Evolution Efficiency With Zn Porphyrin Photocatalysts [PDF]

open access: yesChem Asian J
The mechanism of photocatalytic hydrogen evolution catalyzed by a Zn‐based metalloporphyrin, using water and a cheap sacrificial donor, is studied computationally. The efficiency of hydrogen formation is limited by the competition with hydrogenation of the porphyrin, which leads to a reduced macrocycle.

Application and Challenge of Metalloporphyrin Sensitizers in Noninvasive Dynamic Tumor Therapy [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules
Dynamic tumor therapies (mainly including photodynamic therapy (PDT) and sonodynamic therapy (SDT)) offer new approaches to cancer treatment. They are often characterized by their noninvasive nature, high selectivity, and low toxicity.

Preparation of PMMA Electrospun Fibers Bearing Porphyrin Pendants and Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Dyes

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Porphyrins have a large π–π conjugation force between molecules, and they are easy to aggregate in solution, which affects the photoelectric properties of porphyrins.

Photo-Responsive Carbon Capture over Metalloporphyrin-C60 Metal-Organic Frameworks via Charge-Transfer

open access: yesResearch, 2023
Great efforts have been devoted to the study of photo-responsive adsorption, but its current methodology largely depends on the well-defined photochromic units and their photo-driven molecular deformation.

Metalloporphyrins – An Update [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2012
Metalloporphyrins are structural analogs of heme and their potential use in the management of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia has been the subject of considerable research for more than three decades. The pharmacological basis for using this class of compounds to control bilirubin levels is the targeted blockade of bilirubin production through the ...
