Metalloporphyrin Dendrimers with Folding Arms
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 1998Rigid and flexible linkers are combined in the new dendrimer shown schematically in the picture, which contains nine metalloporphyrin units (Porph). The construction is such that the four "arms" of the dendrimer can fold in a cooperative and predetermined manner in response to added 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO).

Vibronic Transitions in Single Metalloporphyrins
ChemPhysChem, 2005AbstractStructural and electronic properties of single zinc etioporphyrin molecules adsorbed on Al2O3/NiAl(110) were probed by a low‐temperature scanning tunneling microscope (STM). Scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS) revealed progressions of spectral features corresponding to the vibronic states of individual molecules that depend strongly on the ...

Emerging Applications of Phosphorescent Metalloporphyrins
Journal of Fluorescence, 2005The subject of phosphorescent metalloporphyrins is reviewed, focusing mainly on the development and application of Pt- and Pd-porphyrins. A summary of their general chemical and photophysical properties, and guidelines for rational design of the phosphorescent labels, bioconjugates and probes is given.
