Amperometric Metronidazole Sensor Based on the Supermolecular Recognition by Metalloporphyrin Incorporated In Carbon Paste Electrode

open access: yesSensors, 2003
An amperometric metronidazole (MTZ) sensor using a glycosylated metalloporphyrin as a recognition element, which was incorporated in a carbon paste electrode, is reported. For the preparation of a MTZ-sensitive active material, 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis [2-(

Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube/Metalloporphyrin Composites for the Chemiresistive Detection of Amines and Meat Spoilage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Chemiresistive detectors for amine vapors were made from single-walled carbon nanotubes by noncovalent modification with cobalt meso-arylporphyrin complexes.

The Hemoprotein Hhy1 Promotes Heme‐Dependent Catalase Activity of Ctt1

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 125, Issue 5, Page 389-411, May 2026.
A Schizosaccharomyces pombe strain deficient in heme (hem1Δ) and siderophore (Fc) biosynthesis, as well as high‐affinity iron (Fe) uptake (blue), was used to uncover the hemoprotein Hhy1 that promotes the heme‐dependent activity of the catalase Ctt1. In contrast, hhy1Δ cells exhibit reduced Ctt1 activity and increased sensitivity to oxidative stress ...

LC-MS-MS identification of drug metabolites obtained by metalloporphyrin mediated oxidation

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2003
In this paper we report the application of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) to the identification of the products formed by oxidation of albendazole and disopyramide with metalloporphyrins in dichloroethane, using iodosylbenzene as an ...

STM Studies of Synthetic Peptide Monolayers

open access: yes, 1998
We have used scanning probe microscopy to investigate self-assembled monolayers of chemically synthesized peptides. We find that the peptides form a dense uniform monolayer, above which is found a sparse additional layer.

Interfacial Enrichment and Demetallation of a Zinc Porphyrin in the Ionic Liquid [C4C1Im][PF6]

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Upon dissolution of zinc porphyrins with long dodecyl chains in the ionic liquid [C4C1Im][PF6], partial [PF6]‐ hydrolysis occurs along spontaneous porphyrin demetallation. Driven by their buoy‐like chains, the free‐base porphyrins extremely enrich at the outermost surface as proven by angle‐resolved X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, an interesting ...

Trace Detection of Metalloporphyrin-Based Coordination Polymer Particles via Modified Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering Assisted by Surface Metallization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analytical Chemistry, 2016
This study proposed a facile method to detect metalloporphyrin-based coordination polymer particles (Z-CPPs) in aqueous solution by modified surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS).

Salen Mn Complexes Mitigate Radiation Injury in Normal Tissues [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Salen Mn complexes, including EUK-134, EUK-189 and a newer cyclized analog EUK-207, are synthetic SOD/catalase mimetics that have beneficial effects in many models of oxidative stress.

Intermolecular interaction of photoexcited Cu(TMpy-P4) with water studied by transient resonance Raman and picosecond absorption spectroscopies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
photoinduced complex between Cu(TMpy-P4) and water molecules, reversibly axially coordinated to the central metal, was observed in picosecond transient absorption and nanosecond resonance Raman experiments. This complex is rapidly created (τ1 = 15 ± 5 ps)

Efficient and Durable Photochemical CO2 Reduction by TiO2‐Immobilized Metal Porphyrin Catalysts

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
A dye‐sensitized TiO2 scaffold bearing IrP and 3d‐metalloporphyrin catalysts (M‐TCPP; M = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) drives efficient CO2‐to‐CO conversion and H2 evolution. Robust TiO2 immobilization and rapid interfacial electron transfer within the ternary architecture underpin the markedly enhanced activities relative to the mixed homogeneous systems.
