ABSTRACT This study reports a microwave‐assisted biogenic route for synthesizing CuO nanoparticles using Myrciaria dubia (camu camu) fruit extract under three microwave power–time programs: 700 W for 30 s (M1), 350 W for 60 s (M2), and 150 W for 300 s (M3).

The localized corrosion behavior of lean duplex stainless steel EN 1.4062 is systematically compared with austenitic and higher‐alloyed duplex grades in natural seawater. A clear resistance ranking is established, highlighting EN 1.4062 as a cost‐effective alternative for limited marine exposure.

Corrosion inhibitors CuSO4 and NaVO3 achieved up to 98% inhibition efficiency for carbon steel S275 in CO2‐loaded MEA solvent, reducing corrosion rates to 9.4 µm/year—outperforming costly stainless steel SS 316 L at a fraction of the cost.
