Niobium (Nb) incorporation into spinel LiMn2O4 achieves simultaneous enhancement of ionic diffusion kinetics and particle size. After Nb doping, the overall surface energy decreases, promoting particle growth. Despite the increased particle size, the introduction of niobium significantly improves the rate capability and effectively mitigates ...

A scalable sol–gel‐assisted strategy is developed to construct a uniform niobium‐based surface coating on high‐voltage LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) cathodes. The conformal Nb‐rich layer acts as a chemically robust and ionically conductive interphase that suppresses electrolyte oxidation, mitigates Ni/Mn dissolution, and stabilizes the cathode‐electrolyte ...

Freeze‐cast alumina tubes doped with Nb2O5 exhibit aligned and hierarchical porosity, enabling high gas permeance. Nb2O5 promotes liquid‐phase sintering and formation of the AlNbO4 secondary phase, enhancing mechanical strength. The resulting porous supports are suitable for membrane‐based gas separation applications.

Objectives To evaluate the in vitro cytocompatibility and osteogenic potential and the in vivo biocompatibility of two experimental endodontic cements based on Portland cement combined with either Nb2O5 (F6) and/or bismuth oxide (F7) in a rat subcutaneous implantation model. Methods For the in vitro study, MC3T3‐E1 preosteoblastic cells were exposed to

This study demonstrates that site‐specific Nb⁵⁺ doping at the Li sites in argyrodite significantly enhances electrochemical stability with lithium metal, enabling ultra‐fast charging (10 C, 6 min) in all‐solid‐state batteries. The improved interfacial stability, rather than ionic conductivity, is key to high‐power performance.
