Software Calibration of a Frequency-Diverse, Multistatic, Computational Imaging System
We demonstrate a technique for calibrating a frequency-diverse, multistatic, computational imaging system. A frequency-diverse aperture enables an image to be reconstructed primarily from a set of scattered field measurements taken over a band of ...

Self‐Hybridized Exciton‐Polariton Photodetectors From Layered Metal‐Organic Chalcogenolates
Self‐hybridized exciton‐polariton photodetectors are demonstrated using high refractive index mithrene, eliminating the need for top mirrors. This simplified architecture enables tunable sub‐bandgap photodetection via lower exciton‐polariton states and enhanced carrier transport through ultrafast polariton group velocities.

Auxeticity‑by‑Assembly converts freeform photovoltaics from cut‑defined layouts to assembly‑defined systems. Standardized interlocking units generate negative‑Poisson‑ratio, reconfigurable architectures, while hinge regions are wired by selectively activatable AgNW–GO@EGaIn composite interconnects and a folding‑enabled interconnector layer. A decimeter‑

Auxetic Systems Fabricated Using Mycelia-Based Composites
In an era of increasingly problematic global waste management, innovative materials can hold the key to a circular economy. Within such a context, this work aimed at manufacturing, potentially for the first time, auxetic material (i.e., materials with a ...

Nonlocal Conduction in a Metawire
A 1D metawire composed of twisted copper wires is designed and realized. This metamaterial exhibits pronounced effects of nonlocal electric conduction according to Ohm's law. The current at one location not only depends on the electric field at that location but also on other locations.

Several classical analogues of electromagnetically induced transparency in metamaterials have been demonstrated. A simple two-resonator model can describe their absorption spectrum qualitatively, but fails to provide information about the scattering ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Intelligent Acousto‐Electrical Metamaterials (IAM) for Sound Source Detection
Our proposed metamaterial concept enables sound source detection using a single material, in contrast to conventional arrays that require dozens or even hundreds of transducers. We show that the coupled acoustic–vibrational–electrical responses in piezoelectric metamaterials give rise to topology‐governed charge transport, producing distinct voltage ...
