Photolysis of metamitron in water in the presence of soils and soil components
Abstract The herbicide metamitron (4-amino-3-methyl-6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazin-5(4H)-one) photodegrades rapidly in aqueous solution leading to the formation of desaminometamitron. Photolysis rate was slower in the presence of soils due to the screen effect of soil particles, although some differences observed between the 3 different soils indicated that ...

Adsorption of pesticides Carbetamide and Metamitron on organohydrotalcite
This paper reports on the adsorption of low polarity pesticides Carbetamide and Metamitron on hydrotalcite [Mg3Al(OH)8]2CO3·nH2O and organohydrotalcites [Mg3Al(OH)8]2DDS·nH2O with different degree of dodecyl sulphate (DDS) saturation. The adsorbents and the adsorption products were characterized by X-ray diffraction method and FT-IR spectroscopy.
