Metaplastic breast cancer [PDF]
SummaryMetaplastic breast carcinoma is uncommon and constitutes less than 5% of all breast cancers. The cancerous epithelium becomes non‐glandular through metaplastic differentiation. There are various subtypes and the extent to which this process occurs varies. A case of a 52‐year‐old female patient is reported and the published literature is reviewed.

Metaplastic carcinoma of the breast
Human Pathology, 2010The purposes of this study were to investigate whether the biological characteristics or outcomes of patients with metaplastic carcinoma, invasive ductal carcinoma, or invasive lobular carcinoma of the breast differ; to determine whether the metaplastic carcinoma subtypes have similar malignant potentials; and to identify accurate predictors of outcome

Synaptic Metaplasticity Realized in Oxide Memristive Devices
Advances in Materials, 2016Metaplasticity, a higher order of synaptic plasticity, as well as a key issue in neuroscience, is realized with artificial synapses based on a WO3 thin film, and the activity-dependent metaplastic responses of the artificial synapses, such as spike ...

Amorphous KNbO3 (KN) films were grown on a TiN/SiO2/Si substrate to synthesize a KN memristor as a potential artificial synapse. The Pt/KN/TiN memristor exhibited typical and reliable bipolar switching behavior with multiple resistance levels.

Clinical Breast Cancer, 2003
A case of metaplastic breast cancer in a patient with a history of infiltrating ductal carcinoma is presented, including representative mammographic and pathologic findings. The correlation between coarse calcifications on mammography and heterologous osseous elements on histologic review is noted. A brief summary of the typical clinical and pathologic

Intra‐amygdala metaplasticity modulation of fear extinction learning
European Journal of Neuroscience, 2020The amygdala is a key brain region involved in emotional memory formation. It is also responsible for memory modulation in other brain areas. Under extreme conditions, amygdala modulation may lead to the generation of abnormal plasticity and trauma ...

Metaplastic carcinomas of the breast
Journal of Surgical Oncology, 1999Metaplastic carcinomas of the breast are rare neoplasms. The purpose of the present study is to better characterize the clinical course, treatment, and prognostic factors of metaplastic breast carcinomas.Data of 14 patients with metaplastic breast carcinoma were retrospectively reviewed. The follow-up period ranged from 2 months to 10 years, 10 months (
