Cryogenic Dielectric Metasurface‐Integrated Superconducting Nanowire Single‐Photon Detectors

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 13, 13 July 2026.
Superconducting nanowire single‐photon detectors (SNSPDs) are the leading technology for single‐photon detection because of their near‐unity system detection efficiency, ultrahigh timing precision, and very low dark counts. However, achieving these performance metrics with single element, small‐active‐area SNSPDs has been an outstanding challenge. Here,

Cross‐Scale Synergistic Optimization for Miniature Meta‐Liquid Hybrid Zoom Imaging

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 13, 13 July 2026.
A physically constrained optimization framework links electrowetting liquid lenses and metasurface dispersion engineering to realize a compact visible‐band achromatic zoom imager. By co‐optimizing zoom actuation, meta‐atom manufacturability, and system aberrations, the design achieves 1.5x zoom in a 15.5 mm track and clarifies robustness against ...

Photonic Doping of Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Bragg Microcavities

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 13, 13 July 2026.
Photonic doping of an epsilon‐near‐zero (ENZ) Bragg microcavity at optical frequencies induces strong magnetic responses from dielectric inclusions, enabling intense field localization, Purcell enhancement, and tunable hybrid Bragg–Mie modes. The platform supports perfect magnetic conductor and epsilon‐and‐mu‐near‐zero regimes, offering opportunities ...

Efficient Enantiomeric Selectivity Separation Via Homochiral Graphene Oxide Membrane

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
A new type of chiral graphene oxide (GO) membrane is proposed that exhibits a separation factor of up to 20.1 as well as a preferential enantiomer flux of 4.5 mmol m−2 h−1. Moreover, the only first FPLC‐compatible column has been further developed via stacking these chiral GO membranes.
