4. Wochenbericht M77/1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008

Long-lived meteor trails

open access: yesSolar-Terrestrial Physics, 2019
The paper presents data on long-lived (~20–40 min) meteor trails. We describe a group of soliton-type meteor trails expanding at transonic speeds. Radio sounding data evidences that the latter include ~7–8 min ionization trails.

On the validity of the ambipolar diffusion assumption in the polar mesopause region [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2008
The decay of underdense meteor trails in the polar mesopause region is thought to be predominantly due to ambipolar diffusion, a process governed by the ambient temperature and pressure.

Meteor echo height ceiling effect and mesospheric temperature estimation from meteor radar observations [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2018
The mesospheric temperature estimation from meteor height distribution is reevaluated by using the Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry (SABER) and the King Sejong Station (KSS) meteor radar observations.

Detection of an intergalactic meteor particle with the 6-m telescope

open access: yes, 2007
On July 28, 2006 the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences recorded the spectrum of a faint meteor. We confidently identify the lines of FeI and MgI, OI, NI and molecular-nitrogen N_2 bands.
