The local dust foregrounds in the microwave sky: I. Thermal emission spectra
Analyses of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation maps made by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) have revealed anomalies not predicted by the standard inflationary cosmology.

On the Proposed Interstellar Origin of the USG 20140108 Fireball
A critical review of the evidence for the interstellar origin of the USG 20140108 fireball is presented. Examining United States Government (USG) fireball velocities where independent data are available shows the former to have significant (10–15 km s ...

Mercurian impact ejecta: Meterorites and mantle
We have examined the fate of impact ejecta liberated from the surface of Mercury due to impacts by comets or asteroids, in order to study (1) meteorite transfer to Earth, and (2) re-accumulation of an expelled mantle in giant-impact scenarios seeking to ...

Meteoroid Engineering Model (MEM): A Meteoroid Model For The Inner Solar System [PDF]
In an attempt to overcome some of the deficiencies of existing meteoroid models, NASA’s Space Environments and Effects (SEE) Program sponsored a 3 year research effort at the University of Western Ontario. The resulting understanding of the sporadic meteoroid environment – particularly the nature and distribution of the sporadic sources – were then ...

RADIANTS AND ORBITAL DISTRIBUTION OF TV FAINT SPORADIC METEORS
Double station meteor observation using TV CCD unintensified techniques was started in 2013 in Nikolaev astronomical observatory (RI NAO). During observational campaign in 2013-2016 catalog containing 1055 meteoroid orbits has been obtained.

Quasi‐BIC and Reflective Mode Coupling Drives SHG Beyond the Q Factor Limit
An analytical expression is developed to relate second‐harmonic generation to both the resonance Q factor and absorptance. Simulations and experiments on a dual‐resonance 3R‐MoS2 metasurface validate the formula, showing that absorptance engineering provides an effective route to enhance SHG beyond conventional Q‐only design.
