Caenorhabditis elegans as an in vivo model system for human inherited primary arrhythmia syndromes

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Most genes involved in inherited primary arrhythmia syndromes (IPAS) are conserved in Caenorhabditis elegans, where genetic manipulation enables functional characterization of variants, identification of regulatory proteins, and in vivo drug testing.

Mitochondrial physiology in cardiac muscle of deer mice native to high altitude

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend High‐altitude deer mice exhibited evolved changes in mitochondrial energy metabolism and reactive oxygen species (ROS) management that may support cardiac performance under cold hypoxic conditions. High‐altitude mice had increased activity of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in the heart, probably enhancing the capacity for lactate ...

Metal‐free Hydrogen Generation from Seawater and Silicon Waste: A Circular Approach

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 32, 3 August 2026.
Hydrogen was rapidly generated directly from untreated seawater and polymeric Si waste without any transition metal catalyst. The in situ generated polymeric cross‐linked Si resin was completely depolymerized under mild conditions into chloro‐silane monomers.

Research on the protection mechanism of methane explosion in underground space by flexible construction

open access: yesDefence Technology
Urban growth has promoted the use of underground spaces, where explosion accidents can be catastrophic. In this study, we investigated the effect of placing flexible construction in front of rigid obstacles on methane explosion protection by using an ...

Study on suppression of CH4 explosion by CF3H and CO2

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan
To compare the inhibitory effects of HFC-23 (CF3H) and CO2 on methane explosion characteristics, a 20 L spherical explosion pressure testing system was used to measure the effects of two inhibitors on the explosion limit range of CH4 in air.

The Influence of 90 Degree Bends in Closed Pipe System on the Explosion Properties Using Hydrogen-Enriched Methane

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2014
This work sought to evaluate the explosion severity on hydrogen enrichment in methane-air mixture explosion. For this purpose, different hydrogen mixture compositions ranges between 4 to 8% v/v were considered.

Solar Fuels Via Methane Valorization: Thermochemical Pathways, Unified Metrics, and Techno‐Economic Perspectives

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
A first‐of‐its‐kind review benchmarks three solar methane valorization pathways with unified performance metrics for clean fuel production. Meeting global climate targets and sustainable energy demands requires carbon‐neutral fuels and innovative conversion pathways.
