Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

In recent years, research on using photocatalysts for solar energy has attracted much attention. In this study, g-C3N4 nanorods and CaTiO3 nanocuboids were mixed with methanol to produce g-C3N4 nanorods by molten salt synthesis; CaTiO3 nanocuboids were ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Simulation of single-step dimethyl ether synthesis from syngas
Dimethyl ether (DME) is an alternative energy that simplest ether. DME has 2 ways to synthesis from syngas. The single-step DME synthesis combined methanol synthesis and methanol dehydration in one reactor.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Modeling methanol production via autothermal conversion
Relevance. One of the major challenges for any gas field located in permafrost conditions is the formation of hydrate plugs within field pipelines. The procurement and delivery of the required amount of hydrate inhibitor to the gas site can result in ...

Techno-Economic Evaluation of Novel Hybrid Biomass and Electricity-Based Ethanol Fuel Production
In order to limit climate change, fast greenhouse gas reductions are required already before 2030. Ethanol commonly produced by fermentation of sugars derived either from starch-based raw material such as corn, or lignocellulosic biomass is an ...
