Qualitative properties of solutions for dual fractional parabolic equations involving nonlocal Monge-Ampère operator

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis
In this article, we mainly study the qualitative properties of solutions for dual fractional-order parabolic equations with nonlocal Monge-Ampère operators in different domains ∂tβμ(y,t)−Dατμ(y,t)=f(μ(y,t)).{\partial }_{t}^{\beta }\mu \left(y,t)-{D}_ ...

Some Properties of Positive Solutions for Nonlinear Systems Involving Pseudo-Relativistic Operators

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we mainly investigate the radial symmetry and monotonicity of positive solutions for a nonlinear system involving pseudo-relativistic operators and fractional derivatives of order (0,1).

Ray-tracing through the Millennium Simulation: Born corrections and lens-lens coupling in cosmic shear and galaxy-galaxy lensing

open access: yes, 2009
(abridged) We study the accuracy of various approximations to cosmic shear and weak galaxy-galaxy lensing and investigate effects of Born corrections and lens-lens coupling. We use ray-tracing through the Millennium Simulation to calculate various cosmic-

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Symmetry and Monotonicity of Solutions to Mixed Local and Nonlocal Weighted Elliptic Equations

open access: yesAxioms
This paper focuses on the symmetry and monotonicity of non-negative solutions to a mixed local and nonlocal weighted elliptic problem. This problem generalizes the ground-state representation of elliptic equations with the Hardy potential. The novelty of

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Symmetry and Nonexistence of Positive Solutions for Weighted HLS System of Integral Equations on a Half Space

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We consider system of integral equations related to the weighted Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev (HLS) inequality in a half space. By the Pohozaev type identity in integral form, we present a Liouville type theorem when the system is in both supercritical and ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Stereoscopic camera and viewing systems with undistorted depth presentation and reduced or eliminated erroneous acceleration and deceleration perceptions, or with perceptions produced or enhanced for special effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Methods for providing stereoscopic image presentation and stereoscopic configurations using stereoscopic viewing systems having converged or parallel cameras may be set up to reduce or eliminate erroneously perceived accelerations and decelerations by ...
