Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Model reduction of biochemical reactions networks by tropical analysis methods
We discuss a method of approximate model reduction for networks of biochemical reactions. This method can be applied to networks with polynomial or rational reaction rates and whose parameters are given by their orders of magnitude.

GeFaST: An improved method for OTU assignment by generalising Swarm’s fastidious clustering approach
Background Massive genomic data sets from high-throughput sequencing allow for new insights into complex biological systems such as microbial communities. Analyses of their diversity and structure are typically preceded by clustering millions of 16S rRNA
