Ultrabroadband and Highly Sensitive Short‐Wave Infrared Molecular Fingerprinting via Acoustic MXene Plasmons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acoustic plasmons in Ti3C2Tx MXene strongly compress infrared electromagnetic fields and enhance light–matter interactions at the nanoscale. This platform couples broadband plasmon excitations with molecular vibrations, enabling simultaneous sensing of high‐ and low‐frequency vibrational modes in ultrathin PMMA and graphene oxide films, and extending ...

Control of methyl methacrylate radical polymerization via Enhanced Spin Capturing Polymerization (ESCP)

open access: yes, 2010
The nitrone mediated polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) via the enhanced (termination) spin capturing polymerization (ESCP) process is made possible via the addition of small amounts of styrene (between 5 and 10 vol.%) to the reaction mixture ...

Integrated Hydrophilic Interdigitated Network for Silicone Rubber via a Gradient Polarity Modification Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work overcomes the long‐standing challenge of hydrophilic modification of silicone rubber via a gradient polarity modification strategy. By constructing a hydrophilic interpenetrating network within cured SR, simultaneous surface‐to‐bulk modification is achieved while enabling monitoring through a Eu3+ complex fluorescent tracer.

Solubility of carbon monoxide in methyl methacrylate at high pressures

open access: yes, 2013
Methyl methacrylate (MMA) is an important raw material in the polymer industries. The conventional method of producing methyl methacrylate had the disadvantages of dealing with very toxic raw material and producing large amounts of waste.

Quantum Photothermal Self‐Monitoring Fiber Probes for In Vivo Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A miniaturized quantum photothermal fiber probe based on a metal/polymer/glass composite optoelectronic fiber that simultaneously guides lightwave and microwave was developed for the first time. The probe achieves enhanced photothermal conversion (13°C/mW, 25°C–120°C range) while providing real‐time self‐monitoring with 0.2°C thermal resolution at the ...

Stretchable Microelectrode Arrays with Microneedles for Reliable Electrophysiological Recording of Human Heart and Brain Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A stretchable 3D microelectrode array with microneedles (3D MN‐sMEA) enables stable, minimally destructive electrophysiological monitoring of 3D organoids. The wafer‐level stud‐bump bonding process facilitates high‐fidelity recordings of heart and cerebral organoids.
