Autoignition of methylcyclohexane at elevated pressures

Combustion and Flame, 2009
Autoignition of methylcyclohexane (MCH) is investigated in a rapid compression machine (RCM). Experiments are conducted for homogeneous MCH/O{sub 2}/N{sub 2}/Ar mixtures with equivalence ratios varying from 0.5 to 1.5, at compressed charge pressures of 15.1 and 25.5 bar, and over a compressed gas temperature range of 680-905 K.

QUENCHING OF METHYLCYCLOHEXANE FLUORESCENCE BY METHANOL*

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 1995
Abstract—We measured the fluorescence emission spectrum and intensity decays of methylcyclohexane (MCH) when excited by simultaneous absorption of two photons at 298 nm. The steady‐state intensities and lifetimes were both decreased by methanol, which was found to be an efficient quencher of MCH fluorescence.

Ultrasonic velocity dispersion in methylcyclohexane

Pramana, 1974
Ultrasonic velocity dispersion in methylcyclohexane was studied in the frequency range of 0.5 to 5.0 MHz at 60°, 65°, 70°, 75° and 80°C using a variable path interferometer. Necessary corrections for the diffraction of the ultrasonic beam were applied.

Radiophotoluminescence of Biphenyl in Methylcyclohexane Glass

Nature, 1967
IT is known that the recombination of positive and negative species trapped in rigid matrices during gamma-irradiation at 77° K leads to the emission of light. This recombination, and the subsequent luminescence, can be induced either by warming the sample to certain characteristic temperatures (radiothermoluminescence, RTL) or by illuminating it at 77°
