Zinc Grid Based Transparent Electrodes for Organic Photovoltaics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 3, 21 January 2026.
A transparent flexible electrode based on an embedded zinc grid with ≈1 µm linewidth is reported, and its utility as a drop‐in replacement for indium‐tin oxide coated glass electrodes in organic photovoltaic devices is demonstrated. The zinc grids are fabricated using the unconventional approach of condensation coefficient modulation, using a ...

Physeal Allograft Transfer for Physeal Bars: A Safety and Feasibility Study in a Domestic Swine Model

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, Volume 44, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Premature physeal closure occurs following trauma, cancer, or infection. Current treatments have poor success rates. With recent pediatric donor tissue availability, physeal allograft transfer (PAT) can now be considered. The purpose of this study was to study the safety and feasibility of PAT in a large animal model.

Coordinative Ring‐Opening Copolymerization of Limonene Carbamate and ε‐Caprolactone Toward Phosgene‐ and Isocyanate‐Free Polyesterurethane Block‐Copolymers with Tunable Properties

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 47, Issue 1, 9 January 2026.
This study presents a sustainable, isocyanate‐ and phosgene‐free route to polyesterurethanes via coordinative ring‐opening copolymerization of limonene carbamate and ε‐caprolactone. The resulting block copolymers show tunable thermal, optical, and mechanical properties, offering a green alternative for advanced polyurethane materials.

Development and Validation of Case‐Finding Algorithms to Identify Periprosthetic Joint Infections After Total Hip Arthroplasty in Veterans Health Administration Data

open access: yesPharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, Volume 35, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To determine the positive predictive values (PPVs) of ICD‐9‐ and ICD‐10‐based diagnostic coding algorithms to identify periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) following total hip arthroplasty (THA) within the United States (US) Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Methods We selected patients with: (1) any position hospital discharge ICD‐

Controlled Cross‐Linking for Water Developable Hf‐Based Dry Resist Prepared via Molecular Layer Deposition

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
A strategy for tuning the cross‐linking density in molecular layer deposition (MLD) films is demonstrated by leveraging the double reaction and nonring‐opening pathways of ε‐caprolactone. Using this approach, hafnium–ε‐caprolactone MLD film exhibits intrinsic water solubility.

FTIR spectroscopy of conformational probes introduced into fullerene-containing branched poly (methyl methacrylate) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we consider the effect of fullerene on the local molecular dynamics of the branched poly (methylmethacrylates). The temperatures of the secondary relaxation transitions were determined by FTIR spectra.
