Geometric curvatures of plane symmetry black hole [PDF]
In this paper, we study the properties and thermodynamic stability of the plane symmetry black hole from the viewpoint of geometry. Weinhold metric and Ruppeiner metric are obtained, respectively.

A genetic algorithm to generate maximally orthogonal frames in complex space
A frame is a generalization of a basis of a vector space to a redundant overspanning set whose vectors are linearly dependent. Frames find applications in signal processing and quantum information theory.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

On the Classifying of the Tangent Sphere Bundle with Almost Contact B-Metric Structure
One of the classical fundamental motifs in differential geometry of manifolds is the notion of the almost contact structure. As a counterpart of the almost contact metric structure, the notion of the almost contact B-metric structure has been an ...

Weyl geometry is a natural extension of conformal geometry with Weyl covariance mediated by a Weyl connection. We generalize the Fefferman-Graham (FG) ambient construction for conformal manifolds to a corresponding construction for Weyl manifolds.

We reveal the non-metric geometry underlying omega-->0 Brans-Dicke theory by unifying the metric and scalar field into a single geometric structure. Taking this structure seriously as the geometry to which matter universally couples, we show that the ...

The metric space of geodesic laminations on a surface: I [PDF]
We consider the space of geodesic laminations on a surface, endowed with the Hausdorff metric d_H and with a variation of this metric called the d_log metric. We compute and/or estimate the Hausdorff dimensions of these two metrics.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Extracting the quantum geometric tensor of an optical Raman lattice by Bloch-state tomography
In Hilbert space, the geometry of the quantum state is identified by the quantum geometric tensor (QGT), whose imaginary part is the Berry curvature and whose real part is the quantum metric tensor.
