Property A, partial translation structures and uniform embeddings in groups

open access: yes, 2006
We define the concept of a partial translation structure T on a metric space X and we show that there is a natural C*-algebra C*(T) associated with it which is a subalgebra of the uniform Roe algebra C*u(X).

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Fundamental Characteristics of the Product-Operated Metric Spaces

open access: yesAxioms
In the field of metric fixed point theory, there are several generalized or modified types of metric space. One such type is called multiplicative metric space. It was initially introduced as a modified version of the metric space, but was later found to

Function valued metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2010
In this paper we introduce the notion of an ℱ-metric, as a function valued distance mapping, on a set X and we investigate the theory of ℱ-metrics paces.

On the Structure of Metric-like Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2019
The main purpose of this paper is to introduce several concepts of the metric-like spaces. For instance, we define concepts such as equal-like points, cluster points and completely separate points.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Neutrosophic Triplet v-Generalized Metric Space

open access: yesAxioms, 2018
The notion of Neutrosophic triplet (NT) is a new theory in Neutrosophy. Also, the v-generalized metric is a specific form of the classical metrics. In this study, we introduced the notion of neutrosophic triplet v-generalized metric space (NTVGM), and we

On Fixed Point Findings for Diverse Contractions in b Dislocated-Multiplicative Metric Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
In our present research study, we present the idea of b dislocated-multiplicative metric space (abbrev. bd-multiplicative metric space) that is generalization of b-multiplicative metric space and dislocated-multiplicative metric space.

A Fisher-Rao metric for paracatadioptric images of lines

open access: yes, 2012
In a central paracatadioptric imaging system a perspective camera takes an image of a scene reflected in a paraboloidal mirror. A 360° field of view is obtained, but the image is severely distorted.

On partial metric spaces and partial cone metric spaces

open access: yesHacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, 2017
It this article we shall show that partial metric spaces and partial cone metric spaces are quasi-uniformizable and hence quasi-metrizable. Finally, an application to the Banach’s fixed point theorem will be presented in this context.
