"Uniform Measures On Inverse Limit Spaces" [PDF]
Motivated by problems from dynamic economic models, we consider the problem of defining a uniform measure on inverse limit spaces. Let f be a function from a compact metric space X into itself where f is continuous, onto and piecewise one-to-one.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

An inequality in metric spaces
In this note we establish a general inequality valid in metric spaces that is related to the polygonal inequality and admits also a natural geometrical interpretation.

We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...

The cycle contraction mapping theorem [PDF]
This report lays the foundation for a theory of total correctness for programs not based upon termination. The Cycle Contraction Mapping Theorem is both an extension of Wadge's cycle sum theorem for Kahn data flow and a generalisation of Banach's ...

Self-improving phenomena in the calculus of variations on metric spaces [PDF]
This dissertation studies the integrability properties of functions related to the calculus of variations on metric measure spaces that support a weak Poincaré inequality and a doubling measure.

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

A generalization of boundedly compact metric spaces [PDF]
summary:A metric space $\langle X,d\rangle$ is called a $\operatorname{UC}$ space provided each continuous function on $X$ into a metric target space is uniformly continuous.
