Musielak-Orlicz-Sobolev spaces on metric measure spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
summary:Our aim in this paper is to study Musielak-Orlicz-Sobolev spaces on metric measure spaces. We consider a Hajłasz-type condition and a Newtonian condition.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Two classes of metric spaces

open access: yes, 2016
The class of metric spaces (X,d) known as small-determined spaces, introduced by Garrido and Jaramillo, are properly defined by means of some type of real-valued Lipschitz functions on X.

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Multiplicative modular metric spaces and some fixed point results

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
This study aims to introduce a novel type of metric, defined as the w-multiplicative modular metric space, which becomes an expanded idea that includes two metric spaces. We present and demonstrate some of this new space’s topological properties. We also

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

On Doitchinov's quietness for arbitrary quasi-uniform spaces

open access: yes, 2010
The notion of a quiet quasi-uniform space was introduced by Doitchinov in1988 when he developed an interesting completion theory for this class ofquasi-uniform spaces.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Some Equivalences between Cone b-Metric Spaces and b-Metric Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We introduce a b-metric on the cone b-metric space and then prove some equivalences between them. As applications, we show that fixed point theorems on cone b-metric spaces can be obtained from fixed point theorems on b-metric spaces.

Partial metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yes
Scott models are topological models of complete partial orders used for Tarskian fixed point semantics of the lambda calculus. As of yet there are no methods for deriving Scott models from specifications of the "complete" objects beyond an arbitrary ...
