On Localized Tachyon Condensation in $\BC^2/\BZ_n$ and $\BC^3/\BZ_n$
We study some aspects of localized tachyon condensation on non-supersymmetric orbifolds of the form $\BC^2/\BZ_n$ and $\BC^3/\BZ_n$. We discuss the gauged linear sigma models for these orbifolds. We show how several features of the decay of orbifolds of $

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

On certain statistical properties of continued fractions with even and with odd partial quotients [PDF]
We prove results concerning the joint limiting distribution of the renewal time of denominators and consecutive digits of random irrational numbers in the case of continued fractions with even partial quotients, with odd partial quotients, and for Nakada'

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

The Erd\H{o}s--Moser equation $1^k+2^k+...+(m-1)^k=m^k$ revisited using continued fractions
If the equation of the title has an integer solution with $k\ge2$, then $m>10^{9.3\cdot10^6}$. This was the current best result and proved using a method due to L. Moser (1953). This approach cannot be improved to reach the benchmark $m>10^{10^7}$.

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

For each positive integer $n$ it is shown how to construct a finite collection of multivariable polynomials $\{F_{i}:=F_{i}(t,X_{1},..., X_{\lfloor \frac{n+1}{2} \rfloor})\}$ such that each positive integer whose squareroot has a continued fraction ...

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.
