Triangular ratio metric in the unit disk [PDF]
The triangular ratio metric is studied in a domain G subset of Rn, n >= 2. Several sharp bounds are proven for this metric, especially in the case where the domain is the unit disk of the complex plane.

Gaussian curvature of the Bergman metric with weighted Bergman kernel on the unit disc
In the paper Gaussian curvature of Bergman metric on the unit disc and the dependence of this curvature on the weight function has been studied.

Well-Separated Pair Decomposition for the Unit-Disk Graph Metric and Its Applications [PDF]
We extend the classic notion of well-separated pair decomposition [10] to the (weighted) unit-disk graph metric: the shortest path distance metric induced by the intersection graph of unit disks. We show that for the unit-disk graph metric of n points in

For some time we have followed the discussion on systems of units in the journals of the Institute and Society and this has led us to wonder whether physicists have applied to this topic the objectivity they give to the study of physical phenomena. Units are no more than an aid or means to human ends, which are far wider than those of physics alone.

Continuity metric for unit selection based text-to-speech synthesis
A new method based on unit continuity metric (UCM) is proposed for optimal unit selection in text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis. UCM employs two features, namely, pitch continuity metric and spectral continuity metric.
