Hepatotoxicity of Nonesterified Fatty Acids to Dairy Cows: Pathophysiological Mechanisms and Prospective Solutions

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, Volume 4, Issue 2, Page 167-184, May 2026.
Unregulated inflammation increases non‐esterified fatty acids (NEFAs), and triggers multi‐pathway hepatocyte damage including oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and metabolic disorders in dairy cows. Pharmacokinetics of Flunixin and Tolfenamic Acid in Experimental Endotoxemic Awassi Sheep

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
Endotoxemia was induced in the sheep in the group by administering 10 µg/kg of E. coli O55:B5 (LPS) toxin (via IV infusion in 30 mL of 0.9% NaCl over 30 min). The studies in the FM and TA groups were conducted according to a two‐stage crossover pharmacokinetic design, taking into account a 15‐day washout period between treatment periods ...
