Metrizamide Epidurography in Dogs
Radiology, 1978Metrizamide, a non-ionic water-soluble contrast agent, was injected into the epidural spaces of 6 dogs to see if the posterior border of the L7-S1 interspace could be outlined. Between two and six Metrizamide epidurograms were obtained on each dog. The L7-S1 interspaces were usually well outlined. No complications were experienced by the dogs. The dogs

Pediatric Metrizamide Ventriculography
Archives of Neurology, 1980Although computerized cranial tomography (CT) is useful for the diagnosis of hydrocephalus and various fluid-containing intracranial cysts. CT cannot always define the functional relationship of the cyst to the normal CSF pathways. In such cases, ventriculography may be necessary to determine proper treatment.

Urography with metrizamide in children
American Journal of Roentgenology, 1982Noionic contrast material could have particular value in pediatric urography because of the absence of osmotic diuresis and associated fluid loss. Excretory urograms were obtained in 23 children using metrizamide at 300 mg l/ml and administered at a dose of 2.2 ml/kg.

Metrizamide Myelography Complications
Archives of Neurology, 1984To the Editor. —The article by Killebrew et al1mentioned neurologic complications following the use of metrizamide during cervical myelography. The authors suggested that there have been only six cases of delayed adverse psychiatric reaction, one with spinal seizure and one with tonic-clonic seizure, of approximately 250 myelograms, and that there is ...

Abstract Metrizamide is a triiodinated, nonionic, water-soluble con trast agent derived from metrizoic acid and bound to glu cosamine. Because of reduced viscosity and toxicity, meth rizamide mostly supplanted the iodinated contrast media such as iophendylate (Pantopaque) for conventional mye lography and ventriculography; it has now ...
