The analytical method of spectrophotometry by UV for the assay of metronidazole vaginal gel was developed and validated following all the requirements of the regulatories agencies. N-N-dimethylformamide was used for the extraction of metronidazole from pharmaceutical form and the wavelength used was 308 nm.
