Reduced Offspring Viability Is Associated With Long‐Term Stability of a Narrow Avian Hybrid Zone
We investigated hybrid viability in a tropical, avian hybrid zone governed by strong selection on male secondary sexual traits between the white‐collared manakin (Manacus candei) and golden‐collared manakin (M. vitellinus). We assessed putative hybrid fitness by investigating adult survival and hatching success along with a prospective selective ...

Environmental and human factors shape the trophic ecology of a widespread marine predator
Our study reveals how environmental factors and fishing pressure influence swordfish diet, highlighting trophic shifts under future climate scenarios. We provide a novel framework to strengthen our ability to plan for and manage the redistribution of species under global change ensuring that the energetic needs of predators are met.

Differences in estimates of extinction risk between occupancy and abundance data
Abstract Temporal trends in populations are often measured with presence–absence and abundance data. These data types are inherently different, but quantitative comparisons of threat statuses assessed through occupancy or abundance data are currently lacking.

Potential Adaptive Introgression From Dogs in Iberian Grey Wolves (Canis lupus)
ABSTRACT Invading species along with increased anthropogenization may lead to hybridization events between wild species and closely related domesticates. As a consequence, wild species may carry introgressed alleles from domestic species, which is generally assumed to yield adverse effects in wild populations.

More than food production: Assemblages of values underpinning women‐led agroecological initiatives
Abstract Agroecology advocates the transformation to sustainable agri‐food systems by renouncing production maximization and holistically integrating ecological and social aspects. The new peasantry fosters such sustainable agri‐food systems based on agroecological principles, driven by values of care for nature and people.
