We report the structural, morphological and photoluminescence properties of BaAl2O4/MgAl2O4/BaCO3:x% Eu3+ (0 ≤ x ≤ 1.5) mixed phases (hereafter called BMB:x% Eu3+) synthesized by a citrate sol–gel method.

ORDER-DISORDER PHENOMENA IN MGAL2O4 SPINEL
The distribution of Al between octahedral and tetrahedral sites in MgAl2O4 spinel has been determined on quenched samples by high-resolution 27Al NMR spectroscopy. The relationships between T and degree of inversion, and between disorder and cell volume are analysed.-J.A.Z.
