Unsteady MHD rear stagnation-point flow over off-centred deformable surfaces

, 2017
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present both an analytical and a numerical analysis of the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) rear stagnation-point flow over off-centred deformable surfaces.

The MHD model

2004
The ideal MHD equations The dynamics of magnetically confined plasmas, as exploited in laboratory nuclear fusion research and observed in astrophysical systems, is essentially of a macroscopic nature so that it can be studied in the fluid (MHD) model introduced in Chapter 2.

Global and Kinetic MHD Simulation by the Gpic-MHD Code

Plasma Science and Technology, 2011
In order to implement large-scale and high-beta tokamak simulation, a new algorithm of the electromagnetic gyrokinetic PIC (particle-in-cell) code was proposed and installed on the Gpic-MHD code [Gyrokinetic PIC code for magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulation].

Unconditional convergence of the Euler semi-implicit scheme for the 3D incompressible MHD equations

, 2015
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to consider the numerical implementation of the Euler semi-implicit scheme for three-dimensional non-stationary magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations.

MHD Convection of Nanofluids: A Review

, 2015
Many researchers have reported significant enhancement of nanofluids’ thermal properties due to the suspension of modest nanoparticle concentrations in low thermal conductivity base fluids.

Evolutionarity of MHD Discontinuities

1994
Of concern to us is the issue of the stability of MHD discontinuities with respect to their decomposition into more than one discontinuity. To answer this question small perturbations must be imposed on the discontinuity surface. If they do not instantaneously lead to large changes of the discontinuity, then the discontinuity is termed evolutionary.

Hyperbolic divergence cleaning for the MHD equations

, 2002
In simulations of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) processes the violation of the divergence constraint causes severe stability problems. In this paper we develop and test a new approach to the stabilization of numerical schemes.
