Micro-Hardness of PA6 Influenced by Beta Irradiation
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015In this paper, the effect of the electron beam irradiation on the indentation hardness, indentation modulus and indentation creep have been studied by means of the Depth sensing indentation (DSI). Cross-linking is a process in which polymer chains are associated through chemical bonds.

A Review of Micro Hardness Measurement in Turning Operation
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015Surface integrity estimation is used to enhance the functional behavior of the machined component. Enhancement of surface integrity in a turning operation by one of the reliable factor is micro hardness. Micro hardness measurement used to measure the degree of work hardening, sub surface alteration, functional attribute and analyzes the difference ...

Micro-hardness method of studying intracrystalline liquation
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 19521. Intra-crystalline liquation of alloys of aluminum and magnesium and of bismuth and antimony has been studied by the micro-hardness method. 2. The hardness of the alloys varies in accordance with the theoretical consideration previously advanced.

Micro-hardness measurements on single haversian systems in bone

Ultra-micro-hardness of organic and inorganic crystals
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1993The measurement of ultra-micro-hardness is an attempt to find a physical property which can be used for the description of the so-called abrasion resistance of crystals produced in chemical engineering equipment. Such approaches are necessary in order to compare calculations of the secondary nucleation rates for different substances.

Effect of pressure and light curing of composite micro hardness.
Journal of biological regulators and homeostatic agents, 2020The aim of this study is to evaluate the micro hardness Vickers of a composite micro hybrid polymerized under constant pressure. Twelve experimental samples were made equally divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control. Enamel plus HRi (Micerium) microbiotic composite resin, UD3 colour, was inserted into a syringe heater (ENA HEAT ...

The micro-hardness of metals at very low loads
Philosophical Magazine, 1970Abstract The micro-hardness of gold has been investigated over a range of indentation sizes from 0.5 mm to 0.2 μm using loads down to 1.0 mg. The indentations were made using a series of spherical indenters of varying radius. In this way it was possible to keep the shape of indentations geometrically similar over a wide range of indentation sizes and ...

Micro-Hardness Test of Cross-Linking LLDPE
Advanced Materials Research, 2017The presented article deals with the research of micro-mechanical properties in the surface layer of modified linear polyethylene (LLDPE). These micro-mechanical properties were measured by the Depth Sensing Indentation - DSI method on samples which were non-irradiated and irradiated by different doses of the β - radiation (0, 66, 132 and 198 kGy ...

MICRO-HARDNESS MEASUREMENT OF STONE SAMPLES
2017Stone hardness is an important factor which strongly affects machinability and overall quality of the stone machining processes. Identification of such heterogeneous materials in order to establish matching cutting parameters often requires a large number of micro-hardness measurements to be taken.
