Superhydrophobic structures on 316L stainless steel surfaces machined by nanosecond pulsed laser [PDF]
In this paper nanosecond laser machining process was developed to improve the hydrophobicity of AISI 316L stainless steel surface. A geometrical model of laser machined Gaussian micro hole, together with constrain conditions, was established for the ...

In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.

Widening Viewing Angles of Automultiscopic Displays using Refractive Inserts [PDF]
Displays that can portray environments that are perceivable from multiple views are known as multiscopic displays. Somemultiscopic displays enable realistic perception of 3D environments without the need for cumbersome mounts or fragile head-tracking ...

Three‐dimensional Antimony Sulfide Based Flat Optics
This work presents the development of a grayscale electron beam lithography (g‐EBL) method for fabricating antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) nanostructures with customizable 3D profiles. The refractive index of g‐EBL patterned Sb2S3 is determined based on the synergy of genetic algorithm and transfer matrix method.

A roll‐to‐roll exfoliation method is demonstrated that preserves the crystallographic alignment of anisotropic 2D materials over large areas, enabling scalable fabrication of directional electronic and optoelectronic devices. Abstract Anisotropic 2D materials such as black phosphorus (BP), GeS or CrSBr, exhibit direction‐dependent optical and ...
