Electrohydrodynamic direct-writing orderly pattern with sheath gas focusing
Laminar sheath gas is introduced to increase the stability of Electrohydrodynamic Direct-Writing (EDW). The external stretching force from sheath gas promotes the ejection threshold, the diameter of jet and printed fibers as well.

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Cavities "Pit Number" and micro-jets impingements
Cavitation pits and erosion were obtained using the rotating disk device, where a steel disk with cavitation inducers and specimens fixed on it rotates inside a water chamber to provide the cavitating flow. These pits were observed with the aid of a scanning electronic microscopy.

Micro-jet Pump for Micro-fluidic Systems [PDF]
A novel micro-jet pump based on the principle of macroscopic jet pump are presented. The micro-jet pump can be used very easily for sampling in micro-fluidic systems under gas actuation. Vacuum suction mode provided by the pump can effectively decreases the formation of air bubbles and overcomes the interface tension between the liquid and solid wall ...

A numerical study of gas focused non-Newtonian micro-jets
Controlled microfluidics is vital for sample delivery in serial crystallography and serial femtosecond crystallography, where the micro-jets carry dispersed crystals into an X-ray beam. We present a numerical study to assess the performance of such jets with non-Newtonian power-law fluids. An axisymmetric gas dynamic virtual nozzle is considered, where
